SUBARU OUTBACK 2023 LAUNCHED IN THAILAND, MORE THAN 300 MILLION CHEAPER THAN VIETNAM

With a converted selling price of 1.74 billion VND, the Subaru Outback 2023 is currently selling more than 300 million VND cheaper than the Vietnamese market.

TC Subaru has just launched an upgraded mid-size SUV Subaru Outback in the Thai market. The car is still in the 6th generation, and has been on the world market since 2020. This upgrade will be launched on the global market at the New York Auto Show in mid-2022.

According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the starting price of Outback 2023 is from 2.5 million baht (~ 1.74 billion VND) excluding option packages worth nearly 300 million VND.

The 2023 Subaru Outback is equipped with newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, standard equipment includes LED lighting with headlights that change according to steering angle (SRH), LED fog lights, LED taillights and rearview mirrors. Automatically adjusts the low angle when shifting to reverse gear. The car is also equipped with an electric sunroof with anti-jamming function.

The cabin has few changes other than the dashboard behind the steering wheel displaying more information, the 11.6-inch central infotainment screen with a new user interface, supporting smartphone connection. Wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatible smartphone. Comes with a high-end Harman Kardon sound system including 11 speakers, subwoofer and 8-channel amplifier.

The 10-way power driver’s seat has 5-position memory, while the front passenger seat only has 8-way power adjustment. The luggage compartment volume increased to 522 liters (reaching 1,726 liters with the rear seats folded) and the hands-free electric rear door with anti-jamming function.

EyeSight 4.0 safety technology on the 2023 Subaru Outback stands out with automatic braking support in many traffic situations, including intersections. Subaru Outback uses a 2.5-liter flat 4-cylinder Boxer engine, combined with an 8-speed Lineartronic CVT transmission and AWD 4-wheel drive system. This machine produces maximum power of 169 horsepower and maximum torque of 252 Nm, helping the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, with a maximum speed of 206 km/h.

In Vietnam, this car line has no direct competitors. However, there is still a competitor, the luxury wagon Volvo V60 Cross Country, with a higher selling price of up to 2.55 billion VND – while the Outback is being sold at a listed price of 2,099 billion VND.

Currently, Subaru is reducing the price of the Outback to 1,732 billion VND for the 2022 model year and 1,973 billion VND for the 2023 model year.
