The 2024 Mercedes E-Class L just launched in the Chinese market marks a significant addition in length compared to the standard version, especially because of the extended wheelbase. This luxury sedan is an attractive and more economical alternative to the S-Class, offering spacious space, modern technology and comfort for rear passengers.
The appearance of the E-Class L is distinguished by a longer rear door, thicker C-pillar and rear glass, along with a special emblem on the D-pillar, creating a luxurious exterior, like a Maybach. The rest of the design retains the regular E-Class character, including the star emblem on the grille, LED taillights and welcome lights.
If you choose the AMG Line package, the car will be equipped with a unique wheel design, a sportier front bumper and an illuminated grille.
The Chinese version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class L has a length of up to 5,092 mm, 143 mm longer than the standard version, along with a wheelbase of 3,094 mm.
Inside, the dashboard design maintains the E-Class style with a large 3-screen hyperscreen display customized with separate applications and graphics for each section. Rear passengers get special attention, with extra knee space, adjustable seat backs and electric footrests.
Additional amenities include neck heating on the rear headrests, dual wireless phone charging and a Burmester premium sound system. Another unique feature allows rear seat occupants to electrically fold the front seats to create comfortable space. However, the E-Class L is not equipped with a separate screen for rear passengers.
In China, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class L will be available with a 4-cylinder powertrain in two different variants: the E270L with 201 horsepower and the more powerful E300L with 255 horsepower. It is expected that this product line will expand with more options in the future. The E-Class L will be equipped with air suspension and rear wheel steering.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class L 2024 will soon be available in the Chinese market, however, the price has not been announced. This is a remarkable version with many amenities and luxury for rear passengers.
