“List of Cars Coming Soon to Launch in Vietnam by the End of 2023”

With only two months left in 2023 before it ends, the car market in Vietnam is waiting for the appearance of a series of new car models, including sedans, SUVs and MPVs. Although there is no Vietnam Motor Show as usual, many manufacturers are preparing to launch new car models during this period, creating a notable “wave” in the car industry.

Mitsubishi Xforce: Expect Innovation in the SUV/Crossover Segment

One of the expected models in the series of cars scheduled to launch at the end of 2023 is Mitsubishi Xforce. This car model is not only a new product of Mitsubishi in the Vietnamese market, but also carries the hope of surpassing the sales of Xpander, a car model that regularly tops the best-selling rankings. It is expected that Mitsubishi Xforce will officially launch in December and start selling next year.

Xforce belongs to the B-class SUV/crossover segment, similar to the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The car has a modern design with little difference compared to the concept version. The interior of the Xforce features an 8-inch screen behind the steering wheel, a large 12.3-inch central screen, an electronic brake system and a Yamaha speaker system.

The Xforce’s engine is a 1.5L type with off-road support driving mode. The version sold in Vietnam will have more advanced safety features than the version in Indonesia.

Lynk & Co: Diverse and Modern

As expected, Lynk & Co will bring four new car models to the Vietnamese market in 2023, including three SUV/crossover models and one sedan.

  • Lynk & Co 01: Car of similar size to Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V.
  • Lynk & Co 03: Same segment as Mazda3 and Honda Civic.
  • Lynk & Co 05: Larger car model, comparable to Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.
  • Lynk & Co 09: The largest SUV, similar in size to the Ford Explorer and VW Teramont.

All Lynk & Co models share many modern technologies, including advanced safety features, similar to Volvo models. The inside of the car is equipped with large screens and minimizes the use of physical buttons. Engine models have a combination of turbocharged gasoline and hybrid systems, depending on the specific model.

Volkswagen Viloran: Year-End Expectations

Another notable car model on the list is the Volkswagen Viloran. This car model is in the same segment as Kia Carnival and Hyundai Custin, but the estimated price is not cheap, up to approximately 2 billion VND. It is expected that Viloran will replace the previous Sharan model in the Vietnamese market, and is developed by VW joint venture in China, using the MQB global chassis. The interior and exterior of this minivan model will have similarities with the Touareg or Teramont models. Inside the car there will be 7 seats with 2 separate seats in the middle row. The car’s engine may be a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

MG HS and MG7: Outstanding Choices From the MG Brand

The MG brand will also bring to the Vietnamese market two notable car models: MG HS Facelift and MG7. MG HS Facelift has been revealed outside the port and is likely to appear soon. This model is considered a mid-life upgrade, with some slight changes in exterior design. The amenities and technology remain almost the same from the old version. It is still unclear whether the version sold in Vietnam will have a hybrid option like in Thailand.

MG7, a completely new product line, is in the same segment as the Toyota Camry and Mazda6, but has a unique hybrid coupe design. If similar to the version sold in China, the MG7 will be equipped with a modern interior with two large screens, Nappa leather seats, Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof and use a 1.5L turbocharged or 2.0L turbocharged engine. pressure.

Chery Omoda 5, S5, Jaecoo 7: Choices From Chinese Brands

The Chery brand will bring to Vietnam three new car models: Chery Omoda 5, Chery Omoda S5 and Chery Jaecoo 7. These car models were displayed at an internal event in Hanoi in October. These will be Chery’s first product to reach the Vietnamese market after the brand returned with a bigger goal.

Omoda 5 and Jaecoo 7 have similar sizes and belong to the same segment as Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V, but have a completely different exterior design. While Omoda 5 has many rounded lines, Jaecoo 7 has an angular style. Both models are equipped with many modern amenities and state-of-the-art safety technology, including lane-keeping assist features and active emergency braking systems.

Haima 7X, 7X-E, 8S: Attractive Car Line From Haima

The Haima brand also approaches the Vietnamese market with three car models: Haima 7X, Haima 7X-E and Haima 8S. All three models have returned home and were displayed at an internal event, similar to Chery. Even the Haimas were imported earlier.

Haima 7X and 7X-E belong to the MPV segment, in which the 7X-E is a fully electric version of the 7X. Both car models have modern interior and exterior designs. The electric version of the 7X is equipped with a powerful engine with more than 200 horsepower and a battery that allows a maximum range of about 500 km after a full charge. However, the weakness of the 7X-E is the lack of public charging stations like VinFast models.

Haima 8S belongs to the C-class SUV/crossover segment. This model is expected to cost about 600-700 million VND. It is equipped with basic amenities and is not too modern compared to its compatriot Chery Omoda 5. The car’s engine will be a 1.6L turbocharged type, combined with a 6-speed gearbox and drive system. front bridge.

Thus, the last two months of 2023 promise much diversity and richness in the automobile sector in Vietnam. New car models from many different brands will bring many choices to consumers and create an exciting year-end for the auto market.
