Honda CR-V 2023 arrives in Thailand, waiting for launch in Vietnam

It’s been a while since Honda fully unveiled the all-new CR-V. This makes Honda CR-V enthusiasts in Southeast Asia extremely excited. And not to let the public wait long, the 6th generation Honda CR-V will launch in the land of the Golden Temple on March 22 – the time the Bangkok International Motor Show 2023 (BIMS 2023) opens.

Previously, Honda CR-V was tested in many countries last year. With positive results and receiving public attention, Honda has finalized the launch date for this Crossover model. Accordingly, Thailand will be the first market in Southeast Asia to launch the new version of CR-V. The car will be launched on the occasion of the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS), taking place from March 22 to April 2, 2023.

Through the images teased by the company, we can see that the new version of the Honda CR-V 2023 may have some adjustments, specifically 69 mm longer, 10 mm wider, and the wheelbase also increased by 38 mm. mm compared to the old generation.

Exterior design details have also been greatly refined. The most obvious change is that the rearview mirror has been moved to be located near the door, instead of adjacent to the A-pillar as before. In addition, the grille cluster has a trapezoidal shape with eye-catching diamond patterns, the headlight system and exhaust pipes have a new design. On the back, the car stands out and is more sturdy because of the large, long ribs placed in the middle. The rear bumper and exhaust pipes have a sporty design.

According to Honda Thailand, the 2023 CR-V in the Thai market will have two versions: RS e:HEV running 2.0L engine and 1.5L VTEC Turbo gasoline version, front-wheel drive or two-wheel drive.

The cabin of the 6th generation Honda CR-V is considered to have many similar designs to the Honda Civic. Equipment system – significant utilities such as:

Honda CR-V hybrid is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with projector headlights, LED fog lights, glossy black radiator with exclusive RS logo, front/rear bumper decorations and matching door sills. close.

Meanwhile, the Honda CR-V 1.5L Turbo still retains the previous power of 190 horsepower, 242Nm, with only a slight difference in engine rpm when the car is running at highest capacity. The accompanying gearbox is still a regular CVT.

Equipment for this version includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes, Honda Sensing package and panoramic camera, the Honda LaneWatch package is also retained. The decorative cover is dark instead of the same body color as the hybrid version.
