The electric version of the Porsche Macan will soon be launched in the near future, with a completely changed appearance.

Porsche has been testing an electric version of the Macan on the streets for nearly two years, and the process has come to an end when the model appears publicly without being covered up like in the beginning.

Recently captured images show that the Stuttgart car brand will not use the design of the gasoline-powered Macan. The first is the hybrid SUV Coupe design, with the roof gradually sloping towards the rear like its “brother” Cayenne Coupe.

More specifically, the manufacturer does not use door handles hidden in the body of the car like the Taycan. The wheels on the test car have a sporty look, different from the familiar flat surface of today’s electric cars.

The design of the Porsche Macan EV is more eye-catching thanks to the square light cluster placed inside the air cavity in the front bumper. Above may be a light with a steering angle function, but the interface is completely different from the gasoline-powered Macan and somewhat similar to the new generation Cayenne.

The front bumper brings a more masculine style when it includes many air vents with strong cuts, and the front tire is longer to accommodate the reduced vehicle height.

Even though the rear of the car is covered with a black strip of tape at the taillights, it seems that the design department still uses an extended LED positioning strip placed in the middle. On both sides are LED taillights with a simpler interface than the gasoline-powered Macan. The rear bumper does not have many highlights other than the cascading panels. It is likely that the manufacturer will add a spoiler to the electric Macan.

Some photos taken by Motor1 show that the rear wheels have rear-wheel steering function – a new feature first available on the Porsche Macan.

The Macan EV shares its Premium Platform Electric (PPE – the result of cooperation between Audi and Porsche) platform with a similarly sized electric SUV from Audi, the Q6 e-tron.

In the most powerful version, the electric version of the Macan will have an estimated capacity of up to 603 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, coming from a dual engine configuration.

It is unclear when the electric Porsche Macan will launch on the global market, but it is likely that the German car company will soon announce it in the next few months before going on sale from 2024.

However, Porsche also revealed that the electric version will be sold alongside the gasoline version in the next few years, because the infrastructure for electric vehicles in the world is not enough and the majority of their customers are not ready to switch to it. use electric vehicles.

Currently, Porsche’s commercial electric vehicle product line includes only the Taycan model, while brands such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW have all expanded their EV product ranges. Taycan being sold in Vietnam has prices ranging from 4.26-8.5 billion VND depending on the version. This car model is also popular with many domestic giants.
