Toyota Yaris Cross Achieves Impressive Sales in Thailand: Sales far exceed expectations, completely different from the situation in Vietnam

In the first month after its launch in Thailand, the Toyota Yaris Cross created a shopping fever, with sales far exceeding expectations and capturing 40% of the market share in its segment. This proves the strong attraction and high acceptance of Thai consumers for this small SUV.

In the first month of sales, the impressive number of Toyota Yaris Cross in Thailand reached 2,399 vehicles, accounting for 39.1% market share in the segment. This has helped this model quickly rise to the 6th best-selling position in the B-class SUV segment in 2023.

The Honda HR-V is currently leading the segment with 19,143 cars sold, and the Toyota Yaris Cross has great potential to compete closely with the third place, which currently belongs to the Nissan Kicks with only 4,580 cars sold. If sales continue to be stable, we cannot rule out the possibility that Yaris Cross will rise to this position as soon as possible.

Toyota Yaris Cross has brought the Thai market back to life with shopping enthusiasm. Right from the time of opening, more than 5,000 orders were recorded. While this number of orders is impressive, it also presents the challenge of maintaining future sales.

In contrast to the success in Thailand, Toyota Yaris Cross in Vietnam cannot stand out in the market. Despite a sharp price reduction in November, with the gasoline version reduced by 80-90 million VND and the Hybrid version reduced by 100 million VND, this model is still behind many competitors in the segment, including Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda HR. -V.

Currently, Thailand is the second country in Southeast Asia to assemble the Toyota Yaris Cross DNGA version, along with Indonesia. While there has been a gap in sales between Thailand and Vietnam, this is also an indication of the importance of local trends and customer preferences in each market.
